Multilevel Homeschool (For the First Time) – Plus Free Workbox Printables

We just finished the second week of our multilevel homeschool! I’m happy to announce that we’ve all survived. Worn out, but still breathing.  That’s a good sign, right?

I mean, just look how happy they are!

This year, the (almost) eleven is in 6th grade. I’ve been homeschooling her for 6 years!

What’s different, and challenging, for us this year though, is that her sister and brother are joining us in the schoolroom.  Hence, multilevel homeschool adventures galore! Yep. I’ts going to be an interesting year, I tell you.

Just two weeks in and it’s already pretty crazy around here. Some days, we had so much noise that I was afraid people walking by outside my home might wonder if we had a barn full of animals in here.  Other days went by more quickly than I thought they would. And of course, we’ve had two Flex Days – where we do catch up (or mommy tries to nap unsuccessfully).

But what we’re all really excited about are the workboxes. OH THE WORKBOXES! I’m so happy to have found out about this system because I think it’s save my sanity so far.  I even made my own Workbox Labels and Chart, Workbox Weekly Lesson Planner, and Workbox Daily Planner!  Yes, I was that psyched!

I highly recommend using the Workbox System for anyone who has a Multilevel Homeschool. The kids get a sense of accomplishment for each workbox done, and you (the teacher) can easily see just how much each kid has done, who needs help, and who’s been slacking off!

Check out my happy workbox workers!

In the coming weeks, I’ll share with you the contents of each of our workboxes.  We’re still getting the hang of scheduling, but once we do, I’ll share that too.

In the meantime, try the workbox system in your homeschool. It just might be what you need this year!

By the way, did you notice our spiffy uniforms? Cute right? It’s one of two outfits!

Also, these pics were taken during our first week.  In the second week of school, I’ve already rearranged everything – actually I supervised while I told my husband where to move the furniture.  Ha!

Curriculum and Workbox Contents, Uniforms, and Homeschool Classroom Redo in upcoming posts! Stay tuned!
